Special Star Bar Show TONIGHT!

Presenting two great reasons to come to the Star Bar tonight:

Our friend Robert Engel is turning 50 (although he doesn't look a day over 29!) and his lovely wife Caroline, of Caroline and the Ramblers, is throwing him the ultimate birthday party -- a night of great music at the Star Bar! Come out and celebrate his big day with 3 great bands.

For those who don't know, one band originally on the bill that will unfortunately not be able to join in the festivities is The Penetrators, surf legends in their own right. The band's guitarist and our dear friend Brian Rogers (aka Spanky Twangler) began chemo treatment this week for esophageal cancer. Raise a glass with us in honor of him and toast his strength and determination to beat this thing. Proceeds from the door will go to start a fund to assist Brian and his family with expenses not covered by insurance. We'll also have some fun "cancer sucks" merch for sale at the show with all proceeds going to the Twangler fund. You can preview the goods here.
